Didsbury’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
In 2021, the Town of Didsbury increased the number of support services provided to entrepreneurs and small businesses, as well as to newcomers. Through freshly implemented Didsbury Economic Development initiatives, and in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, the Town provides a variety of supports, including: online tools, programs, resources, and education opportunities for all businesses, whether startup, growing or established.
New businesses can take advantage of the red carpet grand opening service and put their business on the map from day one. You bring the ribbon and we will bring the golden scissors—for the ribbon cutting performed by our Mayor and/or Council (pending availability) or the Town’s Strategic Team. Following the ceremony, pictures and a brief description of your business will be posted on all the Town's social media platforms. Didsbury will treat you to a warm welcome by celebrating with you.
The Town continues to keep Didsbury on the map through annual and seasonal marketing campaigns for events, business, investments, and visitor attraction.
Services and Programs
Didsbury Economic Development works closely with local businesses, real estate agents, developers, site selectors, the Chamber of Commerce and regional organizations, such as CAEP, Community Futures and Biz Link, as well as financing institutions, provincial government, immigration/visa services and more. We provide you with the best tools, programs and resources to support job creation and successful business investment within our town and region. Our programs cater to business retention, expansion and investment attraction, tourism and various projects related to community building.

Spacelist is an online tool that allows you to easily access information to assist in setting up a business in Didsbury. Under the Investment & Opportunities section, search for commercial or industrial zoned properties for lease or sale and check out the community profile and development opportunity packages. On the Resource page you will find the MLS real estate tool which will connect you to the residential listings currently available .
