About the Committee
The Didsbury Municipal Policing Committee will work together with Didsbury Town Council, the Didsbury RCMP Detachment Officer in Charge, and Town of Didsbury Administration to:
a) Oversee the administration of the municipal police service agreement,
b) Represent the interests and concerns of the public and of the council to the officer in charge,
c) Developing a yearly plan of priorities and strategies for municipal policing,
d) Develop a community safety plan, including a plan for collaboration between the community and community agencies.
e) Assist in the selection of the officer in charge,
f) Report annually, or on request, to the Minister on the implementation of and updates to programs and services to achieve the priorities of the police service.
About the Opportunity
The Town of Didsbury is seeking four (4) volunteer members-at-large to serve on the committee.
Time Commitment: Estimate 1-8 meetings per year, approximately 1.5 hours per meeting.
